The D-Link DUB-H7 2.0 is a hi-speed USB 2.0 7-port hub that is backward compatible with USB 1.0 and 1.1. It provides an out of the box industry standard that allows connection of up to seven USB peripherals or devices to your USB ready PC or Mac. The D-Link DUB-H7 is targeted at PC and Mac users that are expanding the number of USB ports on their system.Designed to provide quick and easy access, the D-Link DUB-H7 provides seven type "A" downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals, devices, or other USB hubs. A single type "B" upstream port connects the DUB-H7 to the host computer or another USB hub, enabling up to 127 devices to be connected by cascading multiple hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the D-Link DUB-H7 operates seamlessly with both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh Operating Systems. As a standard USB hub, the D-Link DUB-H7 buffers USB data from any attached peripheral in compliance with USB specifications to provide an invisible extension of the USB bus. Supporting both low speed (1.5Mbps and 12Mbps) and hi-speed (480Mbps) devices, each port creates a bridge between the peripheral and host computer.Diagnostic LEDs provide port status for each port and power status.

Customer Rating: Summary: Using a USB 1.1 port will affect device performance. Comment: Per the official product specification on D-Link's own website:
"Using a USB 1.1 port will affect device performance."
So if you plug in a USB 1.1 device to this port, all your USB 2.0 devices will drop to the lower USB 1.1 speed.
Customer Rating: Summary: High Speed Hub Comment: Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Mobile Hub F5U701-BLKYES.....it's a great product for extending the life of your computer....Since older Computers have relatively few USB Jacks, A product like this is just what the Doctor ordered. It works as advertised.
Customer Rating: Summary: Impresive USB Comment: This was not only an excellent USB port, but also was send to me fast and in a very good package, complety safe. The 7 port USB are easy to use, it was a perfect solution when I observed that my HP laptop was short in USB port (I have printer, mouse and keyboard wireless and other devices, including two pen driver and an external hard disk). I am not using all devices simultaneously every time, but the D-Link DUB-H7 USB permit me to use all stuff connected and to insert another one without any concern about the pen driver or the printer...(...Did you save the file?).
Customer Rating: Summary: Drops HP Printer Comment: I tried this hub for two months with only one printer plugged in (HP CLJ2550L). After approximately a half a day, the hub "goes to sleep" and the printer is not recognized.
The only solution I found was to unplug the power supply from the hub and plug it back in to "reboot" it. This is a hassle for me because I need to have the hub installed behind a desk where I cannot get to it easily.
Customer Rating: Summary: Works Like A Charm Comment: Bought this to expand my current USB hub because it was full and I needed extra ports. Daisy chained it to the old port and it works like a charm, every port works without a hitch. It is just the perfect size for my area and having 7 ports allows me to load it up with multiple flash drives along with wireless antennas.
