Summary: Will never be without my book stand again!
Comment: I love my book stand/holder and I'll never be without one again!
I use it for all my reading, including my cook book. The book stand/holder has solved the problem I had with my neck getting sore and getting knots under my arms from holding my books. I was constantly trying to find a comfortable position for reading. Problem solved!!! Now I sit comfortably at the table, or on the sofa with a TV tray, and read to my hearts content. A must have for people who love to read!

Summary: Not for large books!
Comment: I purchased this product in the expectation that it was rather large (per the picture showing a big book resting on it). Unfortunately it only holds books at a depth of 1.5 inches, which is useless for the programming books, and other textbooks I own. Also the stand doesn't have a lock, it is instead combined with the page holders on the front to create a rather cumbersome mechanism. The lack of any real helpful adjustments also made this purchase a regretful one. If you are going to use books of any real thickness, look elsewhere as I know I just wasted $10.

Comment: I was searching and searching online for the perfect "book-holder" for my fiancé aka English major w/a minor in Philosophy and continuing on to her Masters. As you might be able to deduct, she reads a lot! In my quest I almost broke down and purchased one of those "as seen on tv" book/laptop holder things, but last minute found this simple, yet stylish design on Amazon. I was skeptical, but liked the design. It was perfect! It works great! A couple weeks after buying this we found that "tv" book holder at a local store, and man am I glad I didn't buy that one! Big, clumsy, and just plain ugly! Not only is this one small and simple, but it completely folds up for easy storage too! Great product, in fact I may buy more! Thank you.

Summary: book holder? I use this to hold my laptop upright at eye level
Comment: I use this holder as a laptop stand, and it works great. I have more usable desk space and my laptop display and monitor are the same height. Currently I have three stands holding the following laptops HP tx1000, Dell D630, and Dell 8000. Works great as an economical alternative to more expensive laptop stands. The stand is strong, however my Dell Inspiron 8000 is the heaviest laptop I would safely use with one stand. I wouldn't recommend using one stand for those huge "desktop replacement" laptops. The stand also looks very good, and stable with the black rubber feet. By the way what are books? Maybe I'll ask Google. :)
