The CD Organizer allows you to store and organize all of your CD's (Music, Video, DVDs, CDRs, CDRWs, Game CDs and more). With Organizer, no more stacks or scattered piles to sort through and jewel cases to store. No more searching all around your workspace, the large plastic static racks or countless sleeves wondering where to find your disks. Instead of loading applications, games or other disks onto your hard drive, you can now leave them on the disk without fear of not being able to locate them when needed. The CD Organizer uses a USB connection so setup is quick and easy. No special cables or added hardware required. The software is easy to use and requires almost no learning curb. No complicated commands or interfaces to figure out. A keypad is provided on the top of the CD Organizer, which offers access without use of your PC.

Customer Rating: Summary: 5 years no problems. Comment: I have four of them and been using them for at least five years. I am now using Windows Vista and they are still working. I have had issues with different USB hubs, but since I got them before there was USB 2.0, what could I expect? Once in a while, one of them will get jammed or will mistakenly tell me the status of a disc, but they are by far the oldest piece of computer equipment I have in my office.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice at First, then a big Nightmare!!!! Destroyed CDs Comment: This unit when it came out was a great idea. But has one big, big flaw. All your CD will be useless after a short time as it warps everyone of them. There is no center support for the CDs like a CD case has. Be warned. Stick to organizers that either stand the CDs on there edge, or are supported by the center ring of the CD if they are to be laying horizontal.
Customer Rating: Summary: It is not relable Comment: The unit begin to fail adter one year of use. Report out or in CDs wrongly and stack CD slots.
Customer Rating: Summary: CD Organizer Works Well With Appropriate Circumstances Comment: I have had my KDS CD Organizer for about 5 years now. I have used the organizer on Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server, and Windows XP Professional. I love it and would have a hard time using anything else.
That being said, I have found some quirks and inconsistencies with the product.
First off, if your computer only has USB 2.0 ports invest in a USB 1 card. For some reason the organizer doesn't perform well while connected to a USB 2.0 port.
Secondly, you need to obtain the last released version of the software; version 4.0.2. This software can be found at:
http://www.kdscanada.ca/
Lastly, Backup your CD Organizer Database often. The software has included backup/restore/repair utilities that work quite well.
Once all of these circumstances have been met, this product works great.
Customer Rating: Summary: Real Shame Comment: It's a Shame that so many people can't get the CD Organizers to work, how ever I can't see what the Problems they are having are. I've run these on 98, 2000 and XP with no Problems, I have three of them but could use more. I've never had a Problem with XP Drivers, or the Systems not working the way they were supposed to, although I did have a Database error once, but if you rename the file to .MDB and run the access repair routine, it fixed the problem, and I just renamed it back.
