For you next gathering, let everyone participate in the cooking using this raclette grill. Placed in the middle of the table, everyone can prepare his or her own favorite from grilled meats, seafood, veggies and bread on the grill top to the gooey cheese that heats in the dishes below. Once the cheese has melted, simply scrape-off onto your food using one of the spatulas. The grill on top is nonstick so foods won't stick. Summary: Excellent Raclette Grill
Comment: I purchased this raclette grill knowing in advance that I wanted one comparable to the ones had been using all these years while growing up back in France. This grill does it really very well. As other people have said the thermostat is an essential fixture. The only things that I would improve would be the length of the power cord, while it is not too short, a longer one would be nice. Anyway, I recommend this raclette grill to anyone looking for hosting real raclette dinner party :-)

Summary: Having Fun at Dinner!
Comment: I spent a week in Switzerland and was introduced to Raclette a local family there. It was very fun and interactive. So, I had to pick one up for back here in the states ... however, like a dumb american :-(, I forgot about the voltage differences and had to return the item to the local store there before coming home. I was very excited to find this on Amazon.com, I ordered it and we have had some fun dinners at home.
I highly recommend this Raclette grill. The only problem I've had with it so far is that the cheese trays are only allong 2 sides of the grill and therefore, the people at the heads of the table have to reach around to get their cheese ... but we have not found this too difficult or limiting.

Comment: We love this raclette grill. It's sturdy, easy to use and easy to clean. We cooked bacon on top one time and another time we flipped the top over and the kids made crepes which was great fun. The only problem we have is finding raclette cheese in the stores but muenster or swiss works really well too. Very pleased with it.

Comment: The kids and I gave this raclette grill as a present to my husband as a present. He lives the low carb lifestyle, so he can eat as much cheese and meats and vegetables as he cares for and the rest of the family can broil or cook their own concoctions. The set is the ideal size for 4 persons. The top gets sufficiently hot to make omelettes and the crepes are a true treat. The kids like cooking with it so much, it has become a breakfast staple on weekends and we cook at least one dinner a week on it.
