Summary: Blistex: Simple but Elegant
Comment: All my life, I suffered from fever blisters ... cold sores ... canker sores ... a catch-all for PAINFUL INSIDE-AND-OUTSIDE-THE-MOUTH eruptions. [And, yes, I realize that fever blisters/cold sores are herpes simplex and different from canker sores...] I tried expensive cure-alls but always returned to Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. It works! It accelerates healing and, when applied early, cuts the extent and duration of an eruption down to a few prickly days as opposed to a week or more of pain and, at times, unsightly sores.
Especially when the eruption is on the outside of the mouth, you MUST apply the ointment as soon as you feel a tickly-tingle EVEN BEFORE YOU SEE ANYTHING. Don't wait. Then, reapply as often as you think of it (as often as possible).
Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment is an outstanding (and, for me, essential) product.

Summary: good for Accutane-takers
Comment: I have been on Accutane for about a month-ish and I started using this daily to help with the lip dryness, which for me is the most noticable side effect. As soon as I put the medication on my lips, I can feel relief, and I don't have to reapply it every few minutes like I do with other lip balms. It's a little messy to put on if you use a significant amount of it, but it works really well and it is relatively cheap to buy.

Comment: i got really dry sore lips coz there was no rain for a long time and then mummy bought me a blistex lip ointment and it made my lips really nice and soft. It only took about 3 minutes after i applied it and my lips were really soft and smooth. it is very good.

Summary: Good Stuff for Dry Lips!
Comment: I get really dry lips from extreme weather, so bad that it makes my lips look very ugly and scaley and I also sometimes get a painful spilt in the middle of my upper and bottom lips that sometimes bleeds a little and I find that this Blistex stuff is the only lip stuff I can use that works on getting my lips to look good and not all ugly. This medicated lip stuff stings my lips a little and the medicated smell can be a little strong but it isn't too bad and I like how nice my lips look after using this and I would use it again!
