Customer Rating: Summary: I love this ladder. Comment: After my last Werner 300 lb ladder got stolen, I knew I wanted to get a twin ladder. I've got a couple of multi-ladders, one being the werner little giant knockoff. They're great for my remodeling business because of their versatility. Because of those ladders, I discovered the advantage of twin ladder design. Primarily, I don't know how many times I've had 2 guys trying to climb the same ladder and bending up the braces on the non-step side. The main disadvantage of the multi-ladder designs is that the tread is not comfortable. After an hour or so on the rungs, my feet are killing me. Also, they're heavy. For these reasons, I opted for another fiberglass ladder.
I weigh 220, so I was really torn over whether to order the 250 lb type or a heavier version. I've had a cheap aluminum stepladder collapse on me, so I take the issue seriously. The price difference was substantial, so I took a chance on the 250 lb version and I'm glad I did. Since it's a twin ladder, it's rated for 250 lbs per side, so it's actually a 500 lb rated ladder. As a result, this thing is rock solid. It weighs more than a single ladder, but less than the multi-ladders and is not as cumbersome.
The only minor complaint I have with it is that the top tray is split down the middle and has shallow screw holding compartments, but it's a worthy tradeoff for the stability and twin step convenience.
