When champions of The Simpsons contend that the animated TV show is the best-written show on the small screen, they're referring as much to the songs that pop up in most episodes as the dialogue. Well, here's a springboard to the Springfield Sound that Simpsons supporters will find irresistible. The musical hotbed of indeterminate locale has drawn everyone from Sonic Youth to Tony Bennett, both of whom contribute original material to Go Simpsonic. But with a cast that includes the inimitable likes of Krusty the Klown ("Like Father, Like Clown"), Waylon Smithers ("Happy Birthday, Mr. Burns"), and Patty and Selma Bouvier ("We Love to Smoke"), who needs pampered VIPs? Toss in the spirited "Everyone Loves Ned Flanders," Kirk Van Houten's wrenching "Can I Borrow a Feeling?" and the Brothers Four (!?) parody "The Ballad of Jebediah Springfield," and you have a singin' and dancin' hullabaloo to last a lunchtime! --Steven Stolder

Customer Rating: Summary: Go Simpsonic Original Music Comment: Bought for my son. He had trouble finding it and was very pleased with the price. He rated it a five.
Customer Rating: Summary: Go Simpsonic With the Simpsons Comment: More music from the television show. Basically, this is for completists (myself included) only. It provides no insight into the music or special arragements, merely just the songs like you'd record them off a TV (albiet with better sound). Still, with 53 tracks of classic funny songs, this'll still entertain on those long car journeys.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Best CD!!! Comment: I can play this CD over and over and never get sick of it. My favorites are
The Garbageman Can(Long Demo Version), New York city vs. Homer Simpson
(Checkin In),Cape Feare,We put the Spring in Springfield,Senor Burns
(Long Version), and Underwater Wonderland. I have way more. I used to have
Songs in the Key of Springfield, but I lost it. Hopefully I will not lose
Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons. I hope Rhino produces another CD before the
Simpsons Series End's.
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm not a bloody jukebox! Comment: This is the second CD of songs which were actually featured on the Simpsons TV show. There were two additional Simpsons albums of songs specifically recorded for CD, about which the less said the better. This CD is the real thing. Songs that Simpsons fanatics will recall from watching the show. Great stuff like the songs from the Mary Poppins parody and "The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour". Simpsons fans will love it. Of course, if you're not a Simpsons fan you won't be interested in it, so why are you reading this review?
Customer Rating: Summary: As Mr.Burns would say, 'Excellent' Comment: The music plays a big part in the series as do the characters and such. GO SIMPSONIC WITH THE SIMPSONS is loaded with a heap of wonderful songs, and some funny tracks such as the ' Mr. Plow '
jingle, and ' Rappin' Ronnie Regan '.
I'm impressed with the wide selection that this CD has to offer to anyone, a megafan of the show.
Some personal faveroites of mine would be:
'The Simpsons' End Credits Theme, by Sonic Youth
We Put The Spring in Springfield
Happy Birthday Mr. Burns by the Ramones
Trash Of The Titans: Before The Garbage, Man!
Senor Burns (Extended Version) by Tito Puente & His Latin Jazz Ensemble
And the Union Strike Song.
