Each player, except the dealer, is given a board and some counters. If there are no more players than boards, the dealer may also play if desired. The dealer or "caller" is furnished with an ordinary deck of 52 playing cards, shuffles them, and turns over the top one calling it out. Each player with that space on their board covers it with a counter. The dealer continues turning over cards until someone wins by having a complete row of five scored, either horizontally or vertically. The player who wins becomes the next dealer.

Summary: Finally found Pokeno!!!
Comment: I love Pokeno and like many others have been looking for it for a long time. It finally came today. I can't wait to play Christmas day. The extended family gathers almost every weekend to play tonk but the younger kids could never join in. Also, we had to rotate because most did not like more than 5 players at one time. Now there is something everyone will be able to play...at the same time! I need to get my pennies ready...

Comment: Played this game for my first time at my brother's house. This was my sister-in-law's mother's game that she played with her family. There were nine of us. We all had fun. I thought my grandkids would enjoy playing this so I had to get it. Could not find it locally so of course I went online. Thank you Amazon.com!
As soon as I got it I played it with my three grandchildren, ages 7, 9 and 11. They love it! We play it like my sister-in-law played it: six plastic cups marked Center, Diagonal, Vertical, Four Corners, Horizontal and Black Out.

Comment: I've played this game with my family practically all my life. Until now we still had the original game we started playing with over 20 years ago!!! It never gets old and it's great for holidays or family gatherings!
