This award winning card game is for one or more players. It is recommended for ages six and above. The object of the game is to identify "sets" of three cards. Each card is unique in its four features; color - red, green or purple, symbol - diamond, squiggle or oval, shading - solid, striped or open, and number - 1, 2 or 3. A "set" consists of three cards on which each feature is either the same on all of the cards, or different on all of the cards. This game contains complete instructions for play, 81 cards, and a durable plastic carrying case.

Comment: This is an excellent thinking game. Finding patterns that are not obvious at first glance is great for encouraging problem solving skills. Besides being educational, this game is fun! I've been playing it since I was a kid and finally just bought my own set (no pun intended).

Comment: This "game" is truly only a deck of standard sized cards in a case. It was purchased by a very game playing family of four, and mom is the only one who somewhat likes it. It's not because it's too hard (once you get the hang of it), it's just not very entertaining. I've tried it with both kids and adults, and both groups would rather choose any other game in the house. We love most games and puzzles, and this one just didn't cut it. I'm really surprised with the number of positive reviews.

Comment: This card game was given to my son when he was four years old. I tried to simplfy the instructions, and we were able to "play" a few games, but it was not very much fun. Now he is six, and we still don't enjoy this "game". Perhaps it takes a certain personality to actually have fun with SET. We have enjoyed games like Gobblet and Blokus much better.
