Japanese-only SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) paper sleeve pressing of this classic album from the Rock legends, originally released in 1979. SHM-CDs can be played on any audio player and delivers unbelievably high-quality sound. You won't believe it's the same CD! Universal. 2008.

Customer Rating: Summary: Zeppelin's "Other" Record Comment: I went back to listen to this record after I picked up the Plant/Krauss combination which worked so well (has Grammy nominations) since I always liked this album and the country tinged "Hot Dog" was one of my favorites with its upbeat pace and humor/fun - it always seemed like that to me.
The only reason there is anything that is negative about this record is that Zeppelin was always up against themselves (with IV, Houses of the Holy and others rock classics) but this was the first record I heard as a new when when I was young when my older btoher bought it home, so I did not really have many preconceived notions about the band or what I wanted to hear from them.
From the openiing of "In The Evening" to the end of "I Am Gonna Crawl" this is a solid record and a change of pace and style from other Zeppelin Albums, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Customer Rating: Summary: Satisfied with product and service. Comment: As I started to augment my Zeppelin vinyl collection, this was my first CD that I ordered out of many. It was time to ensure that I had each and every Zeppelin related CD in my library.
Customer Rating: Summary: 1979's "In Through The Out Door" (L. Zep.) is still great here in the "future"... Comment: The only thing missing from this great re-issue of 1979's "In Through The Out Door" (L. Zep.) is: the brown grocery-store style paper bag cover that the original LP had. Their last group recording together is still great, here in the "future" (relatively speaking, that is, from 1979's point-of-view)!
Customer Rating: Summary: And I'll never go to Texas anymore. Comment: Hey! I love "Hot Dog." It is a fun song. Sometimes all a good song needs to be is fun. I'm sure that was what they were thinking. And Zep never padded the albums with filler. As far as the rest goes...the times were changing and so were Jimmy and company. I'll meet you half way and say a three star for a Zep album and a four star to anything else released by another artist that year. Final thought: Jimmy was out of it and every band needs to evolve and try something different. I will never forget the weird water color album sleeve. What was that all about?
Customer Rating: Summary: Only Word that can Describe this album is GAY Comment: Holy Crap I've been getting into LZ alot lately...You know I was to young when they were at there peak and grew up in a Beatles/GratefulDead Family..Just recently bought the box set and The first 7 albums are all great minus some eh songs on Presence. But I threw this on and I almosted puked! Thats all I have to say, Don't buy unless you need every Zepp Album. : )
