Customer Rating: Summary: A wonderful, informative journey through the lifespan! Comment: The last century has witnessed a phenomenal change in the human lifespan. In 1900, in the industrialized West, the average person's life expectancy was not quite 50 years, while in the year 2006 it stood at a record high of 77.6. Thus, in one singular century a full thirty years of life had been added to the length of time that the average person could be expected to live!
Here, in this easily accessible book, Janet Belsky has led us on a highly enjoyable, informative journey through time - from birth to the closing years of the life-cycle. This is a terrific read! Maggie Scarf
