Customer Rating: Summary: The Little Mac Book (for dummies) Comment: I haven't yet used this book extensively, but did have an earlier edition and it was invaluable. Explanations anyone over the age of 12 can readily understand. Anyone under the age of 12 doesn't need a manual. It's the first book I reach for when having a difficulty w/my Mac or when I want to learn something new.
Customer Rating: Summary: A book for dummy Comment: This is book is like an introductry to computer, if you have never used any computer and just bought MAC, then this is the one for your, other than that, dont' buy it, waste money.
Customer Rating: Summary: For newbies only Comment: I love Robin Williams, and own a number of her books, but was expecting something something a little more in-depth from this offering. Essentially, it's a re-working of her previous Little Mac Books aimed (as those were) a newcomers to the Mac OS. If you've read previous versions of The Little Mac Book, don't bother with this one. Get something with more meat on the bones. That said, if you ARE new to the Mac (especially if it's your first computer), there's absolutely no better starting point or more companionable guide. Robin's very folksy, down-to-earth conversational style has a way of taking the technical and making it accessible.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best basic computer book Comment: Excellent for learning the basics of computers and the MAC. I started with the PC but changed to the MAC and found the book to be an excellent introduction to basic use of the computer as well as MAC in particular. If I could have found a book like this one, I probably wouldn't have gotten the MAC. Written in very understandable language for the beginner.
Customer Rating: Summary: Book Comment: There is so much information in this one little book. It's one of my favorites.
